Patrons

LUMUN presently has two patrons, namely Anders Lidén and Hans Corell.

Anders Lidén, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Sweden to the United Nations. Former student at Lund University.

 It gives me great pleasure to extend my support and encouragement to Lund Model United Nations (LUMUN). It is indeed gratifying to see students from Lund – my own alma mater – actively engaged in promoting multilateralism and international dialogue. Full letter

Hans Corell has previously been Under-Secretary-General for Legal Affairs and the Legal Counsel of the United Nations.

An excellent way to get an understanding of the Organisation’s strenghts and weaknesses is to participate in Model United Nations. Those who do so are in a better position to participate actively in the quest for international peace and security in the different walks of life in the years to come. Full letter
