LUMUN 2007 is now over…

Honorable delegates of the Security Council,

First of all, I would like to congratulate you on the resolution, shining some light on an important issue.

I would like to express my gratitude on the support of the special envoy, Professor Gambari, the representatives, the Secretary General and the implementation of the good offices mission in Burma/Myanmar.Again, I welcome the initiative to invite and encourage other relevant UN bodies as well as regional bodies to address the different issues in the country of Burma/Myanmar.

Finally, I thank the Security Council for taking action towards important issues such as the importance of political opposition, the release of political prisoners and other human rights issues that are present in the country at this time.Having said that, I thank you for particapating in Lund Model United Nations 2007, and I hope to see you again next year!
